About The Position

Fortuna is seeking a Microsoft Administrator/Developer to support a Peraton client, responsible for administering, troubleshooting, and developing solutions across SharePoint (on‑prem and online), Power BI, Dynamics 365, and .NET/C#. This role supports both existing enterprise platforms and the design and implementation of new Microsoft-based solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong SharePoint farm administration, Microsoft development, Power BI analytics, and Dynamics configuration/development experience, along with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders in a hybrid environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience administering and developing Microsoft platform solutions
  • Strong SharePoint administration experience including farm builds, migrations, patching, and architecture
  • Experience troubleshooting SharePoint Online and on‑prem environments
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell/PnP PowerShell, and SharePoint tools
  • Development experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React
  • Hands-on experience with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
  • Strong Power BI experience, including Desktop, DAX, Power Query, modeling, visualization, and gateways
  • Experience with SQL Server, database design concepts, and reporting/integration tools (SSIS/SSRS preferred)
  • Dynamics 365 development and configuration experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph, APIs, and Power Platform tools (Power Automate/Power Apps/MS Forms a plus)
  • Experience with SharePoint migration tools such as ShareGate
  • Knowledge of IIS, certificates, ULS logs, Admin Center, and Central Administration
  • Strong troubleshooting, testing/debugging, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with clients and participate in occasional onsite meetings in San Diego

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain SharePoint environments, including SharePoint Online and on‑prem farms (2013, 2019, Subscription Edition)
  • Apply SharePoint patches and updates, manage farm configurations, and monitor service applications
  • Troubleshoot SharePoint Online and on‑prem issues, including logs, services, IIS, certificates, and search/user profile services
  • Design, develop, and support SharePoint solutions using SPFx, CSOM, and related technologies
  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET, and Java
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, visualizations, data models, and transformations
  • Configure and maintain Power BI Gateways and workspace security
  • Perform data preparation, modeling, and analytics using Power Query, DAX, SQL, Python, or R
  • Support Dynamics 365 development, configuration, integrations, and user administration
  • Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Microsoft Graph where applicable
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance existing solutions and implement new Microsoft platform capabilities
