Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Team as a Micromaterials Material Handler 3 (1st shift) based out of Rolling Meadows, IL. The selected candidate will be responsible for the execution and support of all Micro-Electronics Stockroom activities. The Material Handler responsibilities will include: Stocking, picking, consolidating, and moving material within the Micro-Electronics stockroom and to the Micro-Electronics manufacturing areas using Waffle Packs & ESD sensitive containers. The selected candidate will utilize SAP inventory systems to transact, track, and analyze material activity. The individual will efficiently utilize space and equipment within the Micro-Electronic storeroom to meet established priorities and comply with company PrOPs.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience; OR an Associate's degree with 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience accurately documenting information related to product, material, quality, quantity, etc.
Hands on experience with precision tooling and handling equipment.
Experience following work instructions and reading/interpreting drawings.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Work well in a team environment and demonstrates a “Can Do” attitude.
Possess basic math & computer skills
Ability to lift 30 pounds on a daily basis.
Be able to work under a microscope for 4–6 hours per shift.
Be able to count, transact, stage, and prepare materials as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with material handling in a cleanroom environment.
Experience working with and using a microscope.
Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP.
Experience with temperature sensitive material.
Experience with using digital scales for counting purposes.
Experience using specialized handheld tools (Vacuum Pen, Tweezers, etc.) used to handle very small, fragile items with good dexterity.

Responsibilities

Receive material into the Micro-Electronics stockroom and bin into unique locations.
Issue material from stock to the production floor in support of kitting, line stoppers, & manual pulls.
Efficiently utilizing space by consolidating similar material together within unique bin locations.
Apply Northrop Grumman ESD practices and follow cleanroom/handling procedures to prevent contamination, corrosion, or surface damage that can cause poor adhesion.
Complete work instructions and records accurately
Follow Northrop Grumman's EH&S chemical handling/Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and safety procedures; ensure proper waste handling and storage of hazardous materials.
Communicate with engineering/quality/production teams on holds, escapes, supplier issues, and process changes; participate in continuous improvement.
Use precision picking instruments to ensure safe handling of small/fragile components.
Perform precision inspection and handling of microelectronic components using a microscope and fine motor skills to ensure parts meet quality and configuration requirements.
Assembles, disassembles, repairs, and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions.
Complete in-house ESD, FOD, and other applicable certifications.
Use Enterprise Resource Planning Software such as Systems Applications Products in Data Processing (SAP).
Use of Microsoft Office products. (EX. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Note, Teams, etc.)
Interface with production teams and share information as required.
