About The Position

Under the direction of the Section Manager, IT Service Delivery or designee, the Microcomputer Specialist is responsible for providing IT customer service support to the systems users both on-site and remotely; providing support for all corporate computer assets including installation, modification, and repairs to microcomputer hardware and software systems; providing technical assistance and training for system users and determining required software and hardware in conjunction with end users at the nine Pace divisions, paratransit office, Headquarters, and approximately 25 remote contractor locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • At least three years of actual intense work experience in a Windows local area network environment.
  • Knowledge of microcomputer and network configurations.
  • Experience in microcomputer application programming.
  • Experience with Active Directory including user creation, groups, and organizational units.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
  • Must be able to install, configure, and upgrade microcomputers and related hardware and software.
  • Experience with popular PC software packages including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and various operating systems including Windows 10, Windows Server, macOS, iOS, and android.
  • Must have knowledge with third party applications such as Adobe and ESRI products; Various bus and fuel software including Apollo, DriveCam, Foresight, and Fleetwatch, and other tools are essential.
  • Must possess strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills, be detailed and customer service oriented, be able to respond quickly within a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline and five years’ previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting software that is used today in the industry and older legacy software that is necessary for the company to function as it should.
  • Installing, configuring, and upgrading microcomputers and related hardware and software.
  • Supporting, training, and troubleshooting network hardware, software, operating systems and platforms, customized applications and fuel distribution system hardware and software.
  • Formulating, developing, maintaining, and implementing standards for network PC/MAC images, applications, wiring, security, and location of hardware.
  • Providing support for various telecommunications issues across multiple divisions and remote locations.
  • Maintaining asset inventory control and auditing.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Full Salary Range: $56,523-$123,507
  • Midpoint: $90,015
  • Anticipated starting Salary: $ 73,269 to $90,015
