About The Position
Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Microbiology Specimen Prep Tech I for their Oklahoma City, OK location. This position involves evening shifts from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm, with variable hours and rotating weekends and holidays. The role requires reporting to work on time, performing assigned duties, maintaining a positive and professional attitude, and working collaboratively as a team member. Responsibilities include data entry, answering phones, processing specimens for laboratory analysis, plating specimens for microbiology testing, and potentially performing initial phases of testing. The tech will work alongside technologists, assist in producing patient results, and sort incoming specimens, prioritizing STAT and critical tests. Proficiency in two computer systems is necessary.
Requirements
- Good computer skills.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or higher.
- Must have the ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times.
- Must be available for scheduled vacation and emergency coverage as needed.
- Must be available to rotate weekend shifts.
