About The Position

Microlab Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Intern to support our Microbiology Lab. This is an excellent opportunity for students or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a professional laboratory setting while contributing to meaningful scientific work.

Requirements

Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program related to biology, microbiology, mycology, or a related life sciences field
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work independently and follow written instructions
Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
Willingness to learn and take direction from lab supervisors

Nice To Haves

Previous laboratory experience or coursework in microbiology or mycology
Familiarity with microscopy techniques
Experience with laboratory information systems (LIMS)
Knowledge of basic laboratory safety protocols
Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

Prepare microscope slides and specimen samples according to laboratory protocols and standards
Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and proper care of microscopes and optical equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity
Perform general lab duties including sample organization, equipment sterilization, workspace management, and inventory control
Support the compilation and organization of laboratory findings, assist with data entry, and maintain accurate records
Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols to maintain a clean and professional work environment
