About The Position

Troy Corporation, an Arxada Company, is seeking a Microbiology summer intern for a 12-14 week program from late May to late August. The intern will gain experience in a Microbiology laboratory, focusing on preservative testing and development, and general microbiology techniques. No relocation or accommodations are provided. The pay for this role is $20-25 an hour. Arxada operates in Microbial Control Solutions (MCS), addressing threats from microorganisms across various business lines like Professional Hygiene, Home & Personal Care, Wood Protection, Paints & Coatings, and Material Protection. Additionally, Nutrition, Care & Environmental (NCE) provides materials for composites, vitamins, nutritional ingredients, chemicals, and raw materials for high-performance applications. Requirements

• Candidate must be actively attending an accredited University for the duration of the internship pursuing a BS or MS
• Candidate should hold a minimum Science GPA of 3.0
• Candidate should have at least 1 year of laboratory experience
• Candidate have completed at least an undergraduate Sophomore grade or higher

Responsibilities

• Performs assisted and/or independent research in preservative efficacy testing or development, dependent on level of experience
• Assists Microbiologists with routine testing
