The mission we offer you: Reporting to the Microbiology Supervisor, the Microbiologist plays a key role at KDC/ONE in the assurance of product quality and safety. As a true microbiological line of defence, you carry out and interpret tests on raw materials, products in progress and finished products, while monitoring the production environment. Through your rigor and analytical skills, you contribute to the detection of deviations, microbiological investigations and the continuous improvement of laboratory practices.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in microbiology
  • Great rigour, meticulousness and a good sense of organization
  • An analytical mind and an ability to solve complex problems
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as a team
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, email, AS400 – asset)

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological testing on finished products, bulk batches, and raw materials prior to use in production
  • Analyze incoming samples delivered by the sampler (forklift operator) according to established methods and procedures
  • Perform environmental monitoring tests (air, surfaces, water) that can influence product quality
  • Conduct monthly air quality tests and rigorously document the results
  • Participate in microbiological investigations in the event of deviations or contamination and contribute to the identification of probable causes
  • Perform ad hoc analyses according to the operational needs of the laboratory
  • Prepare culture media, ensure sterility control and maintenance of cultures
  • Participate in the maintenance, calibration and verification of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe and compliant work environment
