Microbiologist II (Overnight Shift)

About The Position

Handles samples, performs analyses, and reports accurate and timely data according to Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies. The role also involves maintaining and verifying equipment, reporting deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor, maintaining records of quality activities, and identifying and recording nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests.

The position follows an overnight schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 2:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., with Sunday and Monday off. Overtime may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field, or commercial laboratory experience.
• Two years of laboratory/bench experience required.
• PCR experience.
• Experience with Hygiena BAX and GENE-UP, ELISA testing, and reporting.
