About The Position

The Microbiologist I works in a laboratory environment, handling samples and performing analyses in accordance with operating procedures and test methodologies. The role includes maintaining and verifying equipment, reporting deficiencies or malfunctions to a supervisor, maintaining records of quality activities, and identifying and recording nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests. The position regularly uses laboratory equipment and food pathogen detection technologies, as well as basic wet chemistry equipment for measuring moisture, protein, fat, ash, and salt. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with occasional weekend shifts possible based on business needs. The position is located in Carson, California, and the expected pay is $21 per hour.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field, or commercial laboratory experience.
English language skills.
Basic-level mathematical skills.
Basic-level reasoning skills and abilities.
Proficient computer skills.
Basic use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
Experience with a LIMS system.
