Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field — or an associate degree with at least one year of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of analytical methods and testing performed within the Quality Control (QC) department.
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing member of a team.
  • Strong mathematical skills and clear written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to comply with laboratory safety standards, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Comfortable working 95–100% of the time in a laboratory setting.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience performing environmental sampling or microbiological testing.
  • Familiarity with SAP Quality Management or similar laboratory information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all quality systems, including ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management), NSF (National Sanitation Foundation), and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines, while following IFF’s Quality Policy and procedures.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing with accurate and timely documentation of all results in the SAP Quality Management module.
  • Reference and utilize laboratory standards, materials, and documentation to support correct execution of testing procedures.
  • Follow departmental procedures to properly calibrate, maintain, and use laboratory equipment.
  • Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for proper care, handling, and storage of food and dietary supplement products.
  • Conduct environmental sampling following established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment by following and enforcing all laboratory safety procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and support cross-functional quality initiatives as needed.
