The Micro Market Associate performs a variety of duties related to the functionality, operation, and maintenance of Micro Markets and vending machines. This includes ensuring product availability, managing money changing machines and payment kiosks, and maintaining the upkeep of all equipment. The role involves selling general merchandise to customers using professional selling techniques and providing service that anticipates and exceeds customer expectations. Key responsibilities include daily maintenance of Exchange-owned machines and Micro Markets, inspecting and replenishing a diverse range of products (including perishable items), adhering to product shelf-life dates, sanitizing areas, and removing expired merchandise. The associate will greet and assist customers with merchandise selection, ensure assigned areas are fully stocked and neatly arranged, and communicate with supervisors regarding stock management and customer preferences. They are also responsible for setting up and maintaining prices and visual programs, ensuring the Micro Market is clean and orderly, and assisting with annual merchandise resets. Inventory control, collecting money from machines and kiosks, preparing cash reports, and clearing coin jams are also part of the job. The associate must interact professionally with customers and coworkers, adhere to dress code standards, and be knowledgeable about products. A significant part of the role involves operating a motor vehicle throughout the geographical area for duties such as loading/unloading merchandise, maintaining trip reports, and coordinating vehicle preventive maintenance.
