About The Position

RJW Logistics Group is seeking an MHE Training Supervisor for their 1st shift. The purpose of this role is to deliver effective Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training to new and existing employees at RJW using Virtual Reality (VR) simulation systems, classroom instruction, and real-world equipment instruction. The MHE Training Supervisor will ensure safe and efficient equipment operation across all warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Yale and Jungheinrich material handling equipment operation, warehouse logistics, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to teach and demonstrate safe operating procedures both in-person and in a simulated VR environment.
  • Comfortable wearing VR equipment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.
  • Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in conducting training courses for material handling equipment (preferred).
  • Experience in using or implementing Virtual Reality (VR) systems in training environments (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct MHE operator training using a combination of classroom, hands-on, and VR (when applicable), instruction for all existing and future equipment types.
  • Supervise trainees during both classroom and live training sessions to ensure understanding and safe practices.
  • Communicate training material clearly and effectively to a diverse workforce.
  • Monitor trainee performance and provide constructive feedback and additional coaching as needed.
  • Technical aptitude to learn and operate VR training systems (setup, calibration, troubleshooting) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Assess performance and identify skill gaps to improve training outcomes.
  • Adjust training methods to accommodate different learning styles and experience levels.
  • Coordinate with Safety, HR, and Operations teams to align training needs with business goals.
  • Assist certification classes.
  • Reaching out to VR manufacturer about any technical issues.
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager.
