In this role, your primary focus will be maintaining and repairing forklifts and material handling equipment (MHE) to keep the operation running safely and efficiently. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience (or a combination of experience and trade/technical school)
  • Forklift or MHE maintenance
  • Industrial or building maintenance
  • Confident using hand tools and power tools
  • Comfortable completing preventative maintenance with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills for work orders and documentation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the team
  • Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on forklifts and other MHE according to manufacturer and company standards
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues impacting equipment performance
  • At automated sites, complete PMs and basic troubleshooting on sensors, switches, and control components (photo eyes, proximity switches, push buttons, etc.)
  • Perform basic inspections and minor repairs on refrigeration systems (training provided as needed)
  • Accurately document completed work, inspections, and repairs, and communicate equipment status to leadership daily
  • Support facility and exterior maintenance tasks as needed
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate or repair components
  • Operate lifts and other motorized equipment safely while inspecting, maintaining, or repairing assets
