About The Position

This position involves providing quality treatments and evaluations for clients and their families, developing individualized treatment plans, and communicating progress weekly. The role also requires developing individualized home education programs, collaborating with other team members and external professionals, and maintaining thorough documentation of notes and evaluations. Additionally, the position involves managing authorizations, monitoring productivity, and assisting with rescheduling appointments. Housekeeping duties include maintaining the clinic space and assisting with community spaces. The role also emphasizes service to team members, participation in client events, community outreach, and marketing activities. There are opportunities for professional development, including seeking out new knowledge, sharing lessons learned, and adhering to licensing board regulations. For individuals supervising students and clinicians, there is a requirement to meet licensing board standards and demonstrate competency in clinical skills, including supervising student clinicians, monitoring their activities and documentation, and mentoring them in various professional areas. Supervision of entry-level clinicians with mentorship in documentation review and signature is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must be a fully licensed clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent in NC).
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Passion for working with children (age 5+) and families.
  • Experience or interest in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and family dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Serve clients and families by providing quality treatments and evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans prior to sessions for quality therapy that is individualized, meaningful, and fun.
  • Communicate with families at least weekly on the client’s progress in therapy.
  • Develop individualized home education programs for each patient to improve carryover in all settings.
  • Communicate with other CTC team members about shared patients.
  • Communicate with the client’s entire team (teachers, BCBA’s, etc.) for carryover of home education program in all settings.
  • Document thorough, efficient, and compliant treatment notes and evaluations.
  • Complete authorizations as necessary to prevent lapse of treatment and document progress.
  • Submit messages to Office Support regarding the completion of initial evaluations.
  • Fax evaluations and progress notes to the referral source.
  • Monitor dates on authorizations to determine if Office Support needs to follow up with referral sources.
  • Maintain a list of authorizations with due dates for each client as required by insurance regulations.
  • Monitor weekly productivity/visits.
  • Monitor cancellations/no-shows (% of arrivals) to maintain family accountability.
  • Assist in rescheduling appointments.
  • Maintain statistics in Peds OMS weekly.
  • Disinfect and organize clinic space and work area at the end of each day.
  • Assist in organizing and cleaning community spaces (i.e. kitchen, gym, conference room).
  • Serve team members by respecting others, seeking information, and embracing feedback.
  • Assist with client events and celebration of holidays/special occasions.
  • Participate in community outreach projects.
  • Assist in marketing activities for client/community education and clinic growth (i.e. development of blogs, social media, client testimonials, etc.).
  • Seek out opportunities to expand clinical/professional knowledge and experience.
  • Share lessons learned with others so we can all grow as a team.
  • Know the applicable regulations of your licensing board and make ethical decisions within the practice.
  • Supervise student clinicians for completion of fieldwork/internships/clinical with contracted universities.
  • Monitor the clinical activities and documentation completed by students.
  • Mentor students in the areas of clinical skill development, cultural sensitivity, professional behavior, and ethical decision-making.
  • Supervise entry-level clinicians requiring mentorship with documentation review and signature.
