Job Summary Responsible for managing selling and customer service activities. Develop and implement sales and customer retention programs to optimize sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. Plan, forecast and report on sales and competitive pricing activities and tactics. Promote market and technology research. This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, Core & Main will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable
  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline.
  • Generally 7+ years experience in related field.
  • May require certification.
  • Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
  • A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and develops direct and indirect reports, including inside sales, estimators, and special product sales.
  • Works with the residential/commercial developers to ascertain information on housing starts and possible partnerships.
  • Communicates with local client/local authorities to discuss needs for project requirements.
  • Communicates and negotiates special pricing and product availability with top vendors in district.
  • Plans and implements district advertising and promotional strategy and activities.
  • Trains and assists management on Point of Sales system procedures including Product Families, Quick Sales Matrix, Product keywords, and Product Grouping for quotations.
  • Analyzes sales and operating reports for opportunities and establishes initiatives to address deficiencies.
