About The Position

Manages a CSX Minerals account portfolio of approximately $280 million, primarily focused on Aggregates accounts. Primary Activities and Responsibilities Design, market, sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several Aggregates accounts in the southeast. Negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc. Create and execute strategic account plans for customers. Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while pushing each for improved performance or increased business levels. Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Operations, and Customer Service. Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance
  • Problem-solving skills

  • Analytical, financial, negotiation skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle complex Fortune 500 Accounts
  • Knowledge of mainframe and personal computer systems
  • Knowledge of the railroad or transportation industries

  • Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non-standard work week)
