About The Position

This position is responsible for administering Purchasing System regulations to ensure compliance with Federal, Agency and contract requirements. Duties and responsibilities include conducting internal surveillance of the system, participating in internal/external compliance audits, responding to various inquiries, and ensuring policies, & general PO terms are in alignment with requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

  • Experience with government contracting including knowledge of the FAR/DFARS

Responsibilities

  • Interprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices and procedures.
  • Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met.
  • Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc.
  • May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies.
  • May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.
  • Conducting internal surveillance of the system.
  • Participating in internal/external compliance audits.
  • Responding to various inquiries.
  • Ensuring policies, & general PO terms are in alignment with requirements.
