About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

  • PowerPoint - essential skill
  • Excel - moderate to expert skillset
  • Data analytics/management and programming skills using Microsoft Office Suite - essential skill
  • EVMS - essential skill
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Construction Management and Trades
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification
  • Extensive knowledge of submarine finance and construction
  • Experience with Program Phase Management
  • Experience with developing and briefing performance metrics to Company and Navy senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating and managing various management and executive level communications with various stakeholders
  • Assist with various stakeholder management tasking and project management
  • Support various cross-functional meetings to help with meeting preparation, execution and follow up.
  • Assist with basic operational and business analysis needs
  • Other duties as required
