About The Position

Sets up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system. Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

Experience serving as a liaison between Program teams and Supply Chain, ensuring alignment on material needs, priorities, and schedule impacts.
Familiarity with part number creation, configuration control, and material processes to effectively coordinate with the part number/engineering teams.
Ability to lead or support supplier studies, including capability assessments, new technologies, and strategic supplier development activities.
Working knowledge of procurement and manufacturing workflows to understand impacts on cost, schedule, and program deliverables.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills for cross-functional coordination and issue resolution.
Ability to analyze material-related data and supplier performance metrics to support program planning and decision-making.
Experience facilitating cross-functional forums or working groups to drive alignment on supply chain priorities and material readiness.
Proven ability to identify process gaps and partner with stakeholders to implement improvements.
