About The Position

Responsible for managing and facilitating the ordering, delivery, and inventory levels of products to meet customer and overall business objectives. Supports management and sales employees by providing analysis related to inventory, logistics, and product movement. This role also calls on large direct ship and wholesale accounts to support sales initiatives, strengthen relationships, and ensure procurement activities align with customer demand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of related work experience demonstrating knowledge of product procurement, logistics, and distribution.
  • Demonstrated abilities in business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and ability to travel independently as needed.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
  • Willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK policies and procedures and other job related training.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product logistics, inventories, and distribution to intended facilities.
  • Coordinate with department managers to maintain profitable inventory levels at warehouse locations.
  • Monitor product inventory, demand, usage, and transfers; make recommendations for process improvements that support division initiatives and reduce costs.
  • Minimize inventory levels in accordance with seasonal demand patterns.
  • Implement and maintain automated records of orders and shipments for fertilizers and crop protection products.
  • Provide forecasting and trend analysis to support future inventory needs and purchasing decisions.
  • Communicate with transportation vendors to obtain product information and make recommendations based on cost, availability, and scheduling needs.
  • Provide updated inventory position reports regularly.
  • Work with management teams across business locations to evaluate product needs and inventory levels.
  • Ensure products are transferred appropriately and in a timely manner to meet customer demand.
  • Support management and sales teams by providing timely analysis related to inventory, logistics, and product flow.
  • Call on large direct ship and wholesale accounts to understand product needs, strengthen relationships, and support sales and supply chain alignment.
  • Provide product availability updates, logistics coordination, and inventory insights to key accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure procurement strategies support customer expectations and business growth.
  • Support and contribute to total company goals and objectives through collaborative efforts.
  • Drive to company sites or supplier locations as needed.
  • Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, as well as Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
