Mgr Environmental - Greenhouse Gas
About The Position
This position serves as the enterprise subject-matter expert on matters related to greenhouse gas (GHG). The role involves reviewing and understanding state and federal regulations pertaining to environmental and GHG emissions monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting. The Manager will prepare regulatory and internal reports and presentations related to the environmental aspects of ESG initiatives, interpret complex regulatory language, and communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include participating in regulatory review, industry committee, and stakeholder meetings to help develop guidelines, monitoring emissions measurement activities to assure environmental compliance, and conducting environmental compliance visits with sites. The role also oversees the implementation of data acquisition, handling, and reporting processes, supports review/verification processes, and stays informed of industry issues through involvement in industry and trade associations. A calendar will be established to ensure all data collection, processing, verification, and reporting tasks are performed on time. Guidance will be provided to operations and engineering personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field, and seven years of progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent.
- Exceptional ability to communicate verbally with internal and external audiences.
- Excellent writing skills, including the knowledge of various styles, such as AP news style, speech writing, and persuasive (op-ed) writing.
- Ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.
- Basic computer skills and basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, mapping, and PowerPoint software.

- Participates in regulatory review, industry committee, and stakeholder meetings to help develop guidelines for employees to follow.
- Monitors emissions measurement activities to assure and assist in environmental compliance.
- Schedules and conducts environmental compliance visits with sites in order to enhance communications and maintain compliance.
- Oversees implementation of data acquisition, handling, and reporting processes and supports review/verification processes.
- Keeps abreast of industry issues through involvement in industry and trade associations (e.g., AGA, ONE Future, LCRI, SGA, TPA, and TXOGA).
- Establishes calendar to assure all data collection, processing, verification, and reporting tasks are performed on time.
- Provides guidance to operations and engineering personnel in support of their job functions.
