Requirements

  • Doctorate degree
  • Master’s degree and 3 years of Supply Chain experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Supply Chain experience
  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of Supply Chain experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain experience

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead both direct reports and cross-functional teams; strong situational leadership skills, ability to lead staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with GMP operations from Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, and / or Supply Chain perspective.
  • Accountability and Autonomy: Ability to set clear goals and effectively prioritize staff workload. Operate independently and deliver high-quality work output. Understand what it means to own a process and be accountable.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Ability to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, be a thought leader, and deliver results. Able to apply DAI (Decision, Advise, Inform) model and make risk-appropriate decisions. Timely escalation of issues to mitigate risks and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Front-line manager for Dispensing Operations to deliver critical raw materials and components to the manufacturing facilities across the Thousand Oaks campus.
  • Work with Production Scheduling to resolve operational issues.
  • Manage a team consisting of 10-14 Dispensing Operators comprised of Amgen and external contractor staff.
  • Collaborate with the Development Supply Chain and Manufacturing Plants to meet the ever-evolving needs of the business through development of new capabilities and process improvement projects.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate Quality, Compliance, Supply, and Safety risks.
  • Represent the Warehouse and Dispensing functions to regulatory authorities, government agencies, and business entities.
  • Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Exemplify Amgen values and set meaningful goals driving the business and the individual to contribute to the overall Amgen business.
