The Primary Purpose of this role is to apply the scientific method to extract knowledge and insights from various data sets (time-series, structured, and unstructured). The role involves leveraging these insights to deploy data-driven applications supporting strategic business priorities. The position requires advanced knowledge of predictive modeling techniques and prior exposure to high-performance computing technologies. The candidate will manage multiple projects in parallel, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to understand business needs, and plan, execute, and deploy analytics-based solutions. This role also involves mentoring junior peers and overseeing their activities, providing subject matter expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, feature engineering, data mining, data manipulation/storage, and high-performance computing. A successful candidate will adopt established working processes and toolkits while growing their knowledge of the utilities industry. The position may require extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
