Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact required, BSN required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Cath Lab experience working as an RN.
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in the field of Cardiology/Cardiovascular Services.
  • Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
  • Current RQI BLS, ACLS certification.
  • Current licensure to practice as an RN in the state of Texas.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting
  • Must maintain all additional certifications required by area of supervision.
  • Must be clinically competent in area of population served.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically.
  • Must possess basic computer application skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess critical thinking skills and sound decision making and problem solving abilities.
  • Must be service excellence focused (strong customer service and team building skills).
  • Must demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and projects.

  • Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred

Responsibilities

  • The Manager is responsible for ongoing, effective operations and the assessment and improvement of activities.
  • Such responsibilities encompass the internal functioning of the department, which facilitates the functioning of the overall experience.
  • The Manager supports an organizational culture for Service excellence and practices the service excellence standards to all customer groups.
  • Works under the Director of Cardiovascular Services.
  • Coordinates workflow of assigned staff, keeps policies and procedures updated.
  • Exhibits effective leadership skills through planning, organizing, directing and coordinating departmental functions in relation to the UHS/TMC mission, strategic goals and values and in accordance with the JCAHO standards.
