The MFT Analytical Technician will be responsible for performing analytical testing, characterization, and troubleshooting of materials used in electronic applications, ensuring product quality and supporting new product development within Qnity Electronic Materials International, LLC. Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma.
  • 3 years of experience in an industrial analytical laboratory, preferably within the electronics or chemical industry.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining various analytical instruments, including at least two of the following: GC, HPLC, ICP-OES, UV-Vis.
  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles and data interpretation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to follow strict safety guidelines and work with hazardous materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific field preferred.
  • Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as chromatography (GC, HPLC, GPC), spectroscopy (FTIR, UV-Vis, ICP-OES /MS)
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate analytical instrumentation, ensuring optimal performance and accurate results.
  • Analyze and interpret data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to engineers and scientists.
  • Perform root cause analysis for out-of-specification results and assist in resolving quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all analytical work, including sample preparation, testing procedures, and results.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to support material characterization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and perform minor repairs; coordinate with vendors for major repairs.
  • Manage laboratory supplies and ensure proper inventory levels.
