Requirements

  • Work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation
  • 1+ years operating and/or maintaining high volume manufacturing equipment
  • 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches, feeler gauges, gauge blocks)
  • Experience of ownership of the performance and health of automated processes
  • Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
  • Ability to gather and analyze data to support root cause diagnosis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience automating routine tasks
  • 5+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation
  • 3+ years operating and/or maintaining high volume manufacturing equipment
  • 3+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches, feeler gauges, gauge blocks)
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • Experience working with Electro-Mechanical Assembly

Responsibilities

  • Champion high safety and quality standards for both products and personnel.
  • Perform integration and testing of Amazon Leo satellites and complex subassemblies in cleanroom and ESD-controlled environments.
  • Conduct rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware with precision and care.
  • Utilize calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Execute work in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Identify and document non-conformities as required to ensure traceability and corrective action.
  • Operate computer software programs including Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in SAP.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers (ME) to develop, refine, and document activities, driving continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain an efficient, safe, and effective work environment.
  • Work overtime when required and adapt to working independently or collaboratively within a team.
