About The Position

In this full-time position with competitive pay and excellent benefits (including matching 401K), you will interact with colleagues from both operations and engineering while performing activities critical to Broadcom’s success as a premier manufacturer in the high-technology semiconductor industry. This process technician position involves applying acquired technical procedures to support semiconductor manufacturing in photolithography, grating CD and AI-inspection processes in a cleanroom environment. The technician is responsible for routine production manufacturing, operation of equipment and ownership of advanced processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing experience in a cleanroom environment
  • Minimum AAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Technology, equivalent formal military training or verifiable years of experience in related semiconductor operations position performing relevant process technician level tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, Oracle, and Google-based computer applications.
  • Has program setup experience in semiconductor manufacturing with applicable skills for AOI, CD and photolithography

Responsibilities

  • Uses senior technical support to perform production and R&D runs
  • Responsible for ownership of processes and/or equipment
  • Communicate with other operations staff to maximize overall fab output and equipment utilization. Ensure line issues are proactively identified and escalated to achieve timely resolution
  • Effectively interacts and communicates with operators, engineering and maintenance on a daily basis in the resolution of related issues including initiating and leading corrective actions
  • Disposition hold lots to decrease cycle time
  • Perform specialized advanced tasks under engineering supervision for NPI (New Product Intro)
  • Response/recovery for down-state toolsets
  • Tool/process qualification
  • Defect and SPC response/containment
  • Training of operations staff for processes and equipment via complex recovery methods
  • Response for non-conforming material
