About The Position

A Manufacturing Operator I (MFG OP I) is an entry-level role at Mountville Rubber. This position is the first step in a career path that can lead to MFG OP II, MFG OP III, or MFG OP IV, with corresponding pay increases at each level. Mountville Rubber provides exceptional compounding services for various rubber types to multiple markets, averaging 35 million pounds annually. Requirements

Ability to read and understand control screens.
Competence in reading a tape measure.
1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination.
Ensure the oil and mixing process for the first batch is verified by production supervisor or another designated employee.
Remove all knots from pre-weigh bags before loading them into the mixer.
After the last batch, keep mixer door open and run mixer for an additional 10 minutes before shutting down.
Complete the current batch before taking breaks.
Fold rubber into boxes or onto pallets.
Load raw materials onto a belt as instructed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
