This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery by performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment such as gear boxes, motors, pneumatic tools, valves, conveyor systems, robotics, utility systems, production machines and equipment. The technician will work under limited supervision, applying complex knowledge to perform a broad range of tasks including mechanical and electrical duties, diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, and installing special function and structural parts. The position requires the ability to weld stainless steel, repair or replace defective parts, and set up and operate metalworking tools. The technician will also be responsible for installing power supply wiring and conduit, connecting power supply wires, and programming frequency drives and controllers when required. Effective communication with production and maintenance supervisors is essential for diagnosing and correcting equipment problems. The role involves observing mechanical devices, dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, and rebuilding pneumatic and hydraulic devices. Performing weekly preventative maintenance on state-of-the-art equipment and providing a positive work environment that promotes safety and teamwork are also key responsibilities. The position requires regular attendance and compliance with all company policies and procedures, including the Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws and regulations. Additional responsibilities may include focus on specific departments or locations, and assisting with various projects as assigned.
