About The Position

This position is responsible for keeping the facility and machinery operating in excellent condition and repairing any problems when they are discovered. The MFG Machine Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility with a focus on machinery in the cleanroom environment. These tasks include but not limited to; conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, repairing problems, maintaining inventory, start-up, and performing preventative maintenance procedures. Perform daily Setup Checklists for equipment at workstations. Responsible for daily start-up and monitoring of automation cells, conveyors, assembly equipment, and packaging equipment, etc. Ensure machinery runs reliably and produces products that meet strict quality and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform corrective actions. Familiar with diagnosing motors, conveyors, presses, and PLCs. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition. Update and keep accurate maintenance records of repairs, adjustments, and production data. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure standards are met. Plan and schedule repairs on equipment, while maintaining spare parts inventory. Provide technical support during IQ, OQ, and PQ process validations. Knowledge of robotics, ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, and laser welding a plus. Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 5+ years’ machine technician experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Wide variety of machinery experience
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees in a pleasant manner
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working in a cleanroom environment.
  • The ability to complete production paperwork.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications required; strong facilitation and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be able to communicate complex information to all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated high-quality computer skills including MS Office.
  • Must be detail-oriented and produce high-quality work in a high-volume environment.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Ability to remain flexible and open to change within a fluid global industry.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employees must not be specifically barred from working with Federal contracts, government entities or otherwise listed on excluded parties list as maintained by the Federal government.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of robotics, ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, and laser welding a plus.
  • Medical device industry or regulated industry experience preferred
