About The Position

Pointe Precision is seeking a Manufacturing Level 1 CNC Machinist to join their team. This role is crucial in producing high-precision aerospace components where accuracy and attention to detail are paramount. The ideal candidate will possess CNC experience, the ability to troubleshoot processes, interpret technical information, and consistently produce parts to demanding specifications.

Requirements

• 6 - 12 months of CNC machining experience.
• Demonstrated experience setting up CNC machines in a production environment.
• Have a basic understanding of a variety of machines.
• Have a basic understanding of G-code programs and their importance in the process.
• Strong communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong mathematics skills.
• Motivated, dependable, and accountable.
• Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Interpret tolerances and dimensions using basic knowledge of mathematics, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Monitor computerized control media to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and remove and replace broken or worn tooling using hand tools.
