About The Position

This position is responsible for participating in programs to sustain compliance with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality requirements. The role involves performing product tests, audits, and calibrations to ensure food safety and consistent quality. The Mfg Lab Tech will also maintain accurate documentation, complete assigned tasks, conduct safety observations, and keep the work area clean. The position requires the ability to work overtime and adhere to established programs, policies, and practices for producing safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Additionally, the role supports the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems and is accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles. The essential functions of this position must be performable with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in related field
• Minimum of two years previous quality assurance lab experience
• Knowledge of food safety programs, microbiological and sanitation concepts
• Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft Office
