About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of warehouse operation, including equipment and products, while ensuring assigned job functions are completed accurately and on time to achieve and maintain world-class quality. The operator performs work safely, efficiently, and accurately to support plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and the Customer 1st strategy. The role provides leadership consistent with Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrates the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively operate and maintain assigned machines and related equipment to meet daily orders.
• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Monitor products to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Read and follow standard work for warehouse policies.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles and use hand tools.
• Arrange maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment when needed.
• Complete safety observations.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Verify proper components are at the workstation before beginning a job.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation clearly and legibly.
• Complete the position's “If down, do” list when conditions warrant.
• Actively participate in Total Process Control (TPC) activities.
• Plan, oversee, and participate in warehouse operations and activities.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work overtime as needed.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Remain accountable to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
• Perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
