About The Position

Performs basic functions in the manufacturing operations area. Operates and monitors automatic and semi-automatic machines used in the manufacturing processes of electronic and electromechanical products, parts, materials and devices. May assist with the assembly or sub-assembly of hardware products and devices. May inspect materials, components and production equipment according to established standards. Operates under close supervision. Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of manufacturing operations, assembly, and inspection processes and procedures.
Knowledge of method sheet and method sheet changes.
MES/ACS, basic SAP (look up BOM and ECO).
Basic time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organization skills.
PCs and various software applications.
Basic operation of simple tools (screw driver, etc.).

Responsibilities

Operates and monitors automatic and semi-automatic machines used in the manufacturing processes of electronic and electromechanical products, parts, materials and devices.
Operates machines that are involved in assembly, testing, packaging and in other related manufacturing processes.
Utilizes equipment to perform minor repairs to damaged or rejected products.
Involved in the assembly or sub-assembly of hardware products and devices.
Inspects materials, components and production equipment according to established standards.
Inspects components and assemblies to ensure correct placement, wiring, etc.
Inspects production equipment.
Performs basic visual, electrical, mechanical and quality procedures.
Ensures that final product meets order specifications and established quality control requirements.
Maintains and disseminates appropriate records for management.
Regular reliable attendance and courteous treatment, communication and interaction in all working relationships, internal and external.
