About The Position

The Calibration Technician independently test, calibrate, and repair electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards. Carries out activities that support the execution of the activities of the metrology laboratory, as well as performing schedule and non-schedule calibrations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, with certification in metrology.
  • +5 years of experience as a Calibration Technician in medical device industry.
  • Able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of the monthly calibration schedule in a timely manner.
  • Execution of unscheduled calibrations per internal customers demand (courtesy calibrations, verifications, relocation of non-portable equipment, final calibration of obsolete/damage equipment).
  • Review and approval of work orders (calibration and corrective maintenance).
  • Creating and maintenance of calibration procedures and specifications.
  • Strong contribution of the laboratory's continuous improvement by implementing tools and guides for optimizing the calibration activities.
  • Coordinate with internal customers and external service providers.
