About The Position

Our team is looking for a Metrology Technician for our manufacturing site in Bedford MA where we manufacture specialty materials for the semiconductor industry. This will be on 1st Shift. Our ideal candidate can look forward to working with a talented multi-disciplined international team. This role will focus on maintaining and document calibration of all measurement equipment. We expect that you will collaborate, share, and be ready to learn and grow in a team that partners closely with its customers and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Requires an associate degree in Metrology or equivalent education and training, ASQ Calibration Technician Certification (CTC) or five (5) years of directly related Calibration/Metrology experience.
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic production environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • General knowledge of blueprints, measuring and test equipment, measurement techniques, and quality calibration processes required.
  • Skilled using a variety of measurement equipment including calipers, flatness gage, micro height, pin gage set, height gage, test indicator, micrometer, pitch micrometer, dial indicator, surface plate, optical comparator, smart scope, cassette verification (CV)
  • Fluency in English is required for training purposes
  • Able to lift 40lbs

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety best practices and always wear PPE on the production floor.
  • Maintain a clean work environment following all Entegris 6S activities.
  • Focuses on managing the off-site calibration, repair, and maintenance of measurement and test equipment through vendors.
  • Verify that vendor calibration certificates are complete, accurate, and comply with ISO/NIST standards
  • Performs calibration and basic repair of test equipment.
  • Coordinate tool downtime with manufacturing/production to minimize impact.
  • Ensure calibration standards used for inspection measuring, and test equipment are in compliance with standards.
  • Review all calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Performs calibration services in timely manner, as assigned.
  • Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.
  • Enter information into electronic database and complete work orders.
  • Apply company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow calibration procedures and read schematics with limited supervision.
  • Performs periodic room air particles count in controlled areas and laminar flow cabinets.
