As the Metrology Senior Supervisor, you will manage a team of bargaining unit employees in accordance with the approved contract. In addition, you’ll support equipment calibration schedules and work prioritization to meet customer demands and will be a calibration management interface with organizations across the plant-site. This position will initially begin as a first shift position and will transition to fourth shift after becoming familiar with the role.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience interpreting technical documentation
  • Experience with Metrology practices, policies, and procedures.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Clearance
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​

Responsibilities

  • Providing supervisory support for all fourth shift bargaining unit employees in the department including providing employee coaching, mentoring and training
  • Managing employee timecards
  • Approving purchase requisitions
  • Supervising Metrology Calibration Service Technicians, Mechanical Service Technicians and Metrology Technicians
  • Solving routine Calibration Management System (CMS) problems that are of limited scope and complexity
  • Maintaining and updating CMS database
  • Coordinating with customer base to schedule calibration and repair activities, including setting priorities based on mission demands
  • Managing priority shipments and facilitate resolutions surrounding calibration equipment data and schedules for internal and external customers across the plant-site
  • Providing technical guidance and problem solving to the strategic make center
