About The Position

The Metrology Equipment Technician will support sustaining a clean room environment while prioritizing equipment recovery and troubleshooting. They will perform Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and run routine weekly equipment qualifications. The role involves performing equipment recovery and root cause troubleshooting, as well as creating and executing equipment improvement projects. This position is responsible for updating, creating, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The technician will collaborate with the Supervisor, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and tool vendors to prioritize work tasks and help achieve company goals. They will document and describe steps taken to resolve equipment issues. The ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time is required, as well as the ability to bend/flex in awkward positions as needed for equipment repairs.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college or technical school preferred.
  • Any Semiconductor equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Metrology experience is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Initiative and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft office/excel/powerpoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to use and operate basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the fab to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities with a mindset toward root cause analysis, standardization, and 6S.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to walk extended periods in the fab to be physically present during equipment recoveries.
  • Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively for Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance.
  • Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
  • Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
  • Able to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with Supervisor, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing and tool vendors to prioritize work tasks and help achieve goals.
