Position Summary: Seeking a motivated equipment engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class inspection and measurement equipment, implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implement solutions.

Requirements

BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science.
2+ years semiconductor experience (Metrology equipment experience preferred).
Experience Troubleshooting Equipment or Process failures.
Exposure to Structure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc.).
Understanding of statistical methods.
Good Presentation and Technical Writing skills.
Understanding of Change Point Management, and of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles.
Ability to wear clean room suit and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per the SAS FAB protocol and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Willing to relocate to Austin, Texas.

Nice To Haves

Metrology equipment experience preferred
Experience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language preferred.
Experience with Data Analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor the wafer fabrication equipment and respond to issues
Qualify new manufacturing equipment
Coordinate the scheduling of equipment qualifications and equipment down time with manufacturing
Use software to analyze data, identify trends to make decisions about processing product.
Make adjustments when equipment parameters are exceeded and monitors process parameters when tools return from maintenance.
Execute in line changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.
Communicate technical information within the department through presentations.
Continuously revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Develop improved processes to increase capability.
Monitor operations costs and develop cost reduction projects
