About The Position

SAIC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Metrology Engineer to support our projects in the selection, calibration, and management of test equipment. This role involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure proper calibration processes and compliance with calibration and metrology standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, equipment calibration, and related technical expertise. This role will be onsite in Crane, IN. Requirements

• Strong background in metrology
• Strong background in equipment calibration
• Related technical expertise

Responsibilities

• Assist projects in identifying and procuring the correct test equipment required for specialized tasks and processes.
• Support the development and implementation of a Calibration Maintenance Requirements System (CMRS) for unsupported test equipment.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain and upgrade CMRS records, ensuring accurate tracking and updates for all relevant equipment.
• Assist in the creation and refinement of calibration procedures for new and legacy equipment, ensuring adherence to industry and organizational standards.
• Serve as a primary interface between project teams and the Calibration Lab.
• Address matters related to calibration requirements and CMRS to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
