Requirements

  • Associate degree in chemistry or higher (chemistry or technical discipline preferred), or equivalent industry experience in instrument calibration, validation, and metrology
  • Entry‑level to professional‑level chemistry experience
  • Knowledge of instrumental and wet chemistry principles, method development and validation, mathematics and statistics, and basic analytical laboratory equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain quality and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Manage, calibrate, and validate advanced laboratory instrumentation while adhering to strict calibration and preventive maintenance programs
  • Interpret analytical data and assist chemists, chemical operators, and chemical engineers with accurate and reproducible analysis of chemical products
  • Maintain data integrity in both written and electronic laboratory records
  • Prepare laboratory test solutions for calibration, accuracy, and reproducibility checks
  • Author or assist in the development and validation of analytical methods
  • Interact with analytical chemists, customers, and regulatory auditors, providing technical and regulatory support
  • Inventory and order laboratory instruments, measurement devices, reagents, and supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
  • Train and instruct other personnel in quality control testing and measurement practices
  • May lead lower‑level laboratory personnel in equipment calibration and preparation activities
