About The Position

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking qualified candidates for a Manager, Channel Sales. This role will be based in Tulsa, OK or Northwest Arkansas. This Sales Manager role will lead the Whirlpool Corporation business at Metro Appliances & More, one of the largest appliance distributors in the Southwest Region. Metro serves builders, designers and consumers through 13 locations across 4 states. The new Sales Manager will be responsible for our complete portfolio of Whirlpool Brands; Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir, and Amana. This is a highly visible role leading a large strategic account with great opportunity for growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in strategic sales and professional negotiations
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience operating and selling within the builder channel

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with executive leadership, store management, and sales teams at this key account.
  • Partner with sales associates to develop and maintain a strong builder pipeline.
  • Develop pricing, programming and marketing plans that are complementary to the business.
  • Utilize category management and consultative sales techniques, leveraging POS and inventory data to provide strategic stock recommendations that drive market share.
  • Attain revenue, margin, and market share targets while providing precise volume forecasting.
  • Oversee allowances and regional merchandising budgets to ensure maximum return on investment.
  • Share best practices and lead special projects as needed within the region and channel team.
  • Work closely with the Retail & Builder Strategy team and merchandising team.
  • Implement strategic initiatives to accelerate growth in both retail and contract sectors, meeting all quarterly goals.
