About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is seeking several experienced Methods Process Analysts (Level 5’s) to support multiple programs across the Puget Sound region. Candidates could be considered for roles in Everett, Renton, Auburn, Puyallup/Fredrickson, or Seattle Washington. As a Level 5 Methods Process Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing production processes for our Boeing Commercial Airplane programs. This position requires a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, Lean methodologies, and leading the development of processes and procedures using advanced Industrial Engineering techniques to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. The candidates are expected to have experience leading others through Industrial Engineering procedures for production stability, implementing lean methodologies, assessing and performing to rate readiness requirements, and improve quality through structured root cause analysis reviews, as well as how to utilize data and analytics in order to recommend a plan of action. The ideal candidates will possess strong strategic and creative-thinking skills and have experience acting as a consultant to top level management. It is essential that the candidates can effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams and establish partnerships with senior leaders. The positions will include opportunities to display leadership and integrating teams while applying knowledge of Industrial Engineering processes and tools. Candidates will engage with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be self-starters as well as collaborative team players. Monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments will be key responsibilities for the candidate. Adaptability to changes in tasks, work environment, and work structures is also a crucial strength.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business related curriculum such as: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Data Analytics, Marketing, Economics or Math
  • 15 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10 or more years of experience working in an Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Production environment
  • 5 or more years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 or more years proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • 10 or more years of experience working in a team environment.
  • 10 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Experience developing metrics to drive results and business improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of processes and procedures using advanced industrial engineering principles, theories, and concepts to address the development, implementation, maintenance, and status of integrated shop operating plans at a program/enterprise level.
  • Conducts long term business strategy planning by leading the analysis of the current and future business environment.
  • Develops forecast, acquisition, and utilization plans to optimize resources in support long term company initiatives and program business.
  • Develops Business System factory definition at a program level for new and complex statements of work.
  • Develops labor hour estimates for complex new or revised production and/or tooling work packages.
  • Develops integrated tool and production master schedules in support of long term business plans and strategies.
  • Considered an expert of Process Improvement tools and coordinates across organizations to lead the identification and implementation of improvements to processes.
  • Acts as a consultant during negotiations, representing Production and Tooling Operations to Senior Management, to support schedule commitments or statement of work impacts at program/enterprise level.
  • Acts as consultant to senior management both within business units and across the enterprise.
  • Acts as a consultant and external spokesperson for programs, business units and enterprise level to address unplanned events.
  • Assists as a subject matter expert to develop plans and actions needed to address complex recovery efforts.
  • Directs, leads, and trains less experienced analysts in the development, implementation, maintenance, and status of integrated shop operating plans to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel and to reduce inventory and meet cost and schedule.
