This is an examination for a Meter Technician Unit Leader position. An experience evaluation will be conducted based on your academic training and experience pertinent to the classification. The Meter Technician Unit Leader supervises the daily work crew engaged in the meter operation of the water distribution system, ensures subordinates adhere to City policies, oversees scheduled repair work, investigates and clears meter complaints, gives directions to the crew, answers questions from superiors and customers, conducts field inspections, makes repairs, fills out requisitions and daily trip tickets, reads roll maps and sections sheets, writes comprehensive reports, and attends training classes as required. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
