About The Position

The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (SACWSD) is seeking an individual to join the Meter Services Department. This position provides customer service in the field related to water metering, including performing timely and accurate readings of District water meters, responding to customer questions and issues, turning water service on/off, providing metering troubleshooting, and performing minor maintenance, repair, and replacement of meters, dials, and valves. The role also involves preparing work orders for the maintenance department for larger repairs and investigating/troubleshooting leak data on customer water consumption.

Requirements

• High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Mechanical aptitude necessary
• Valid, current CO Driver’s License is required
• Proficient computer skills including Excel and Outlook
• Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills required
• Self-starter, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Meter, valve and/or water distribution system experience helpful

Responsibilities

• Performs timely and accurate readings of District water meters
• Responds to customer questions, inquiries and issues in the field
• Turns on/off water service as needed
• Provides metering troubleshooting
• Provides minor maintenance, repair and replacement of meters, dials and valves
• Prepares work orders for maintenance department for larger repairs
