About The Position

This is an open position with Mon Power, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [MP] All employees who apply for a posted position must notify their supervisors that they have applied. Employees who have not been in their current positions for at least one year, or who are in positions with specific requirements beyond one year, must obtain approval from their supervisor before applying.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must live within 40 minutes of the reporting service center.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must possess and use an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle to read meters (eligible for mileage reimbursement).
• Ability to safely drive and walk in all types of weather over all types of terrain.
• Ability to successfully deal with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous meter reading experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reading meters installed on customer premises, including visually checking for and reporting service diversion and meter irregularities.
• Performing collection activities when assigned.
• Performing single phase reconnects, disconnects and meter exchanges when assigned.
• Performing duties in alignment with storm restoration efforts.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Use of personal 4WD or AWD vehicle required.
