The Meteorologist delivers on our Purpose by providing forecasting expertise for decision support and services to Southwest Airlines Network Operations Control (NOC) and associated operational Teams. The NOC is Southwest’s world-class operations center that functions as the Heart of major operational decisions and coordination, and the NOC has representation from every operational group within the Company. This role will deliver operational forecast content consistently and accurately within rigid time constraint and actively collaborate with other meteorologists on weather issues, particularly in the 0- 48 hour time frame. The Meteorologist is excited to bring their experience and detail-oriented thinking to the small Meteorology Team, which is integral to Southwest’s operation. Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to work from our Dallas, TX headquarters facility during business hours.
