About The Position
WTVA is the news, weather, and sports leader in Northeast Mississippi, serving as the NBC and ABC affiliates for the region. The station covers 19 counties across Northeast Mississippi and West Alabama. This role is for a weekend morning meteorologist/MMJ who will be responsible for the weather desk on weekends and will also work as a multimedia storyteller for three days a week.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in meteorology is required.
- Candidates with a minor or emphasis in communications or journalism are recommended.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-energy, accurate, and easy-to-understand weather segments across multiple platforms.
- Works as an MMJ (Multimedia Journalist).
