About The Position

WTHI-TV is seeking a Weekend Meteorologist/MMJ to join their award-winning team. This role involves accurately interpreting weather data, developing forecasts, generating graphics, and presenting information clearly. The position also requires filling in for other weathercasts, live reporting to tell the weather story, contributing story ideas, and developing news sources. The meteorologist will represent the station at community events, generate online weather forecasts and stories, participate in daily blogging, and provide weather updates on social media. They will also create compelling graphics and content for weather stories and digital platforms, adapt quickly to breaking news, and be involved in community and school events. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of strict deadlines
  • College degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Responsibilities
