About The Position

This position, in addition to live weather casts, will require covering local news, including, but not limited to, city and county government, court cases, spot news, and any other news of the day, and possibly shooting some sports. This position will require presenting live weather casts at 6 pm & 11 pm on Saturdays & Sundays. As an MMJ, you will shoot your own video, write stories, and edit as a one-man/woman band. Also, posting to our website and other social media platforms. If you have an eye for seeing and shooting great video and have a knack for finding stories, you'll love this job. Please note - primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above

Requirements

• Taped reel of your on-air weather casts required.

Nice To Haves

• A 4-year Meteorology-based degree preferred.
• Communications/Journalism minor welcomed.
• Familiarity with The Weather Company (formerly WSI).
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere.
• Familiarity with ENPS.
• Familiarity with Canon XA50 cameras.
